July in Montana 2015

It doesn't show up real well, but we are trying to reforest or at least revegetate the meadow in front of the cabin.  We planted some 300 trees and bushes and so far they look great.  Can't wait to see what this looks like in a few years.

We went to Glacier with friends and walked partway on the Avalanche Gorge trail.  We definitely want to come back when we are better prepared for hiking.
There was some road construction and we were stopped right by one of our favorite spots-- Wild Goose Island.  We weren't allowed to get out of the car though.

And then the fun really began when the Bland kids and their parents arrived!

Buck Creek is usually a lot higher and a lot colder, but with the hot and dry summer we could actually walk in it without freezing.

Two wet kids after a squirt gun fight...
Annual Holland Falls hike

Exploring around the cabin...

Love it when the kids can just relax and enjoy the view.

Glacier Lake hike...another yearly tradition

Lake Alva

The girls and Brady went to Big Fork when the boys were on their man-hike.  This Newfoundland may not look big in the pictures, but he was BIG!

Glacier Slough hike...

Brady was digging in his snack bag, looking for every M&M.

Some of us had to stop quite often to pick huckleberries.

Dad ended the trip with one of his favorite hikes to Turquoise Lake.

The Beauty of Summer 2014

The Adventures of Fluffy

Thought you might want to see what Montana Fluffy has been up to lately...
hanging out on the front porch...
looking out at the mountains with Grandpa...
talking to his owl friends...
catching some rays on the deck...
shooting a few hoops...
a little exercising...
doing some art work...
playing with Legos...
hanging out with his friend Buck...
looking for someone to have a pillow fight with...
learning about the Solar System...
trying to climb the steps...
having some press conferences...
rocking...
climbing on the railing (Be careful, Fluffy!)
and resting on the bed after a long, hard day.
Fluffy misses all of you and can't wait to see you again.
Rrrfff, rrrfff!

Jim Lakes

We thought Lucas would enjoy seeing Grandpa fishing at the lake he went to this year.  It was cool and windy and he didn't catch any fish, but we had a fun time.

Labor Day Rodeo

Before the rodeo...
Star Spangled Banner...
Ready to come out of the shoot...
Just a beautiful day and view for the rodeo...
