Pictures for Aunt Lynette

We don't have as much snow as last year, but it's still beautiful. Zach's family was here for a week after Christmas. They had lots of fun sledding and exploring in the snow.
 Zach's girls--Zara is 14 and Claire is 9.

Bruce put up this Christmas tree on the deck for me. It was so pretty with the snow on it.

August with the Seattle kids 2015

We celebrated birthdays for all three since we missed their "real" birthdays.

July in Montana 2015

It doesn't show up real well, but we are trying to reforest or at least revegetate the meadow in front of the cabin.  We planted some 300 trees and bushes and so far they look great.  Can't wait to see what this looks like in a few years.

We went to Glacier with friends and walked partway on the Avalanche Gorge trail.  We definitely want to come back when we are better prepared for hiking.
There was some road construction and we were stopped right by one of our favorite spots-- Wild Goose Island.  We weren't allowed to get out of the car though.

And then the fun really began when the Bland kids and their parents arrived!

Buck Creek is usually a lot higher and a lot colder, but with the hot and dry summer we could actually walk in it without freezing.

Annual Holland Falls hike

Exploring around the cabin...

Love it when the kids can just relax and enjoy the view.

Glacier Lake hike...another yearly tradition

Lake Alva

The girls and Brady went to Big Fork when the boys were on their man-hike.  This Newfoundland may not look big in the pictures, but he was BIG!

Glacier Slough hike...

Brady was digging in his snack bag, looking for every M&M.

Some of us had to stop quite often to pick huckleberries.

Dad ended the trip with one of his favorite hikes to Turquoise Lake.
