We drove 10 miles down a VERY bumpy road (plus 6 miles where we took a wrong turn because the raod was not marked) to get to the Cedar Lake trailhead. Interesting hike. Very gentle at first, then we had to hike over a saddle and then down to the lake. Beautiful and we were the only ones there. The wildflowers were the most spectacular we've ever seen on a hike. They were late-blooming because this is so high--around 7500 feet. We were surprised there was no snow.
And this is a view of the fire from our deck. Lots of smoke yesterday. Interestingly, you can only see the flames at night.
