We canoed this afternoon at Lindbergh Lake...beautiful as always.
Couldn't resist taking a picture of this sign announcing a wedding at Holland Lake Lodge. Amanda, maybe you would like to use this idea with the deer antlers at the farm. I know someone who could supply the antlers.

Fun with family
We only took one picture, but we had so much fun with Reuben and Jenna. We canoed on Holland Lake, explored Buck Creek and the Swan River, and had great times talking and comparing hikes in Glacier National Park and looking at maps. They made a wonderful supper for us...bruschetta pizza. And then they left this morning after breakfast at the Hungry Bear, headed for Yellowstone. Safe travels.

Playhouse??
Thinking about fixing up this little cabin at the edge of Buck Creek to make a playhouse for the grandkids. Dad cut down a couple trees and some brush to make it easier to access. We'll see...

Destination: Cooney Lookout
Dad has been walking to Cooney Lookout pretty often, but I went along for the first time today. He wanted to show me these wolf tracks. He thinks there were 8 or 9 wolves. The largest track was 6 inches wide and 7 inches long.
On our way...just gorgeous.
Stopping by woods on a snowy afternoon...with apologies to Robert Frost.
Our destination...felt like we were on top of the world.
This is a panorama view from the Lookout.

Cooney Lookout
Views from this morning...
We went cross-country skiing for the first time ever this morning. Didn't get pictures, but it was an absolutely beautiful day and lots of fun. We both fell, but agreed we loved it.
Lindbergh Lake
Lindbergh Lake is one of our favorite places to canoe in the summer. And now has become a favorite destination on snowshoes in winter.
On the lake...
Ready for a picnic!

Rainy in winter
We love to visit Rainy Lake in the summer...canoeing, fishing, picnicking. So peaceful. So we thought we would see what it's like in winter. So different, but yet so neat.
